Census Takers Attacked

People Counters attacked:

People Counters attacked, says the U.S. Census Bureau, and the agency have filed nearly 30 complaints during the process that many people are not interested in participating states.
According to Census Director Robert Grove, 29 employees have experienced threats with a gun, four robberies and three cases are detained against their will or carjacked.
To make matters worse, six killed in car accidents in Texas, Florida, S. Carolina and California, and one was slain while off duty, reports the Washington Post.
635,000 people were hired to the 2010 census data collection behavior, going door-to-door to follow up with residents who do not mail in a census questionnaire.
"When you have 600,000 people there, many things happen," Census Director Robert Groves told the Post Monday.
Fortunately, the next census does not take place until 2020.
